Thirty-One Gifts Canada Inc. (the "Company") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy provides information on: (1) the type of personal information which the Company collects, uses and discloses; (2) the Company’s purpose, use, and disclosure of that personal information; (3) how the Company obtains your consent to the collection, use and disclosure of that personal information; (5) how the Company secures and retains that personal information; and (6) how you may access your personal information. The Company handles personal information in ways that are consistent with this Privacy Policy, and all applicable legislation, regulations, codes, etc.

Scope. This Privacy Policy covers all of Thirty-One Gifts Canada Inc. including interactions by telephone, mail, e-mail, and the following websites: www.thirtyonegifts.ca, www.mythirtyone.ca, www.thirtyonetoday.ca (the "Websites"). It does not, unless otherwise explicitly stated, apply to entities that the Company does not own or control, such as Thirty-One Gifts Canada Consultants.

For the purposes of this Privacy Policy, personal information generally means any information about an identifiable individual, but does not include the name, title or business address or telephone number of an employee of an organization. Data that has been edited so as to remove all personal identifiers such that is impossible to identify the person to whom the information relates is not considered personal information.

Information Collected. The Company recognizes your right to confidentiality and is committed to protecting your privacy.

Consultants. If you are interested in becoming a Thirty-One Gifts Consultant we may collect your name, address, email address and telephone number. By completing and submitting a Consultant Application and Agreement (either in person or online) you are implicitly consenting to the Company’s collection and use of all information you have provided therein. The Company uses this information to process your request to become a Consultant and to communicate with you regarding other information that we think may be interesting to you. For greater certainty, the Company will collect and use your Social Insurance Number pursuant to our reporting obligations under the Income Tax Act (Canada). Your Credit Card Number may also be collected and used to process recurring charges as applicable.

Customers. When you place an order, we may collect information contained on your Order Form including information such as your name, e-mail address, mailing address, credit card number, expiration date and other information relevant to your order including, your shipping address and the identity of the Consultant who arranged the sale. By completing and submitting an Order Form (either in person or online) you are implicitly consenting to the Company’s collection and use of all information you have provided therein. The Company uses this information for processing orders, internal record keeping, to improve products and services, to calculate Consultant compensation, and to communicate with you regarding promotional offers, new products, and other information that we think may be interesting to you.

Website Users. We automatically receive certain types of information whenever you visit our Websites. For example, like many websites, we use "cookies" to obtain certain types of information when your web browser accesses our Websites. The Company uses this information for analytical purposes and to monitor the usage and performance of our Site, to enhance our customers' search and shopping experiences, to communicate with you about products, services, and promotions, and to determine aggregate information about our user base and usage patterns. Aggregate information is information that describes usage patterns and other demographics of site visitors as a group but does not reveal your identity and is, therefore, not personal information. By using our Websites, you consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of information in accordance with the terms of this Privacy Policy.

Other Information You Provide. We collect additional information that you provide to us. For example, you provide information to us when you complete surveys or contest entry forms, sign up for special discounts or coupons, communicate with us by email, telephone or otherwise, provide product reviews, or provide alternate delivery addresses. Consultants and Customers may withdraw their consent at any time, by contacting the Company’s Privacy Officer using the information set out below.

Security. We are committed to assuring that your information is secure. In order to help prevent unauthorized access or disclosure of personal information, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online. The Company will store personal information using hard copy and/or electronic means in such a way as to prevent unauthorized collection, access, use, disclosure, or disposal or personal information.

When you place an order online, your personal information and credit card or debit card information are encrypted using SSL encryption technology before being sent over the Internet. We use SSL technology to prevent your information from being stolen or intercepted while being transferred to us.

We will retain your personal information only for the time it is required and for the purposes for which it was collected. Only employees and agents of the Company who need to access your personal information in the course of your duties will have access to it.

Unsolicited Email (SPAM). Your privacy is very important to us. Be assured that, in accordance with this Privacy Policy, we do not share, sell, disclose, or distribute our customer or Consultant lists or any personal information to third parties.

You should be aware, however, that unscrupulous marketers can sometimes "harvest" your email address directly from your computer or another person's address book or even obtain your email address through programs that automatically search web pages and email traffic for email addresses.

Disclosure of Personal Information to Third Parties. We will not share, sell, distribute, or lease your personal information to third parties unless we have your permission or are required by law to do so.

Children. We do not sell products for purchase by children. The Company’s Websites are directed to adults and are not directed to children under the age of 18. The Company does not permit registration by and will not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 13. Minors between the ages of 13 and 17 must get the permission of their parent(s) or legal guardian(s) before making purchases on this Site. If your children disclose information about themselves in publicly accessible areas of the Site, if any, then they may receive unsolicited messages from other parties. Third-Party Organizations.
